RECOMMENDED STARTING POINTS

Four Grades Worth Comparing First

Choose a starting grade by demolding difficulty, mold support and production time. Confirm the final grade with a sample trial and current TDS.

SOFT RELEASE

ACS10

For molds with deep undercuts or delicate details that require easy, flexible demolding.

Shore A 10 ± 2

EVERYDAY START

ACS20

For reusable, general-purpose molds that need a balance of flexibility and shape support.

Shore A 20 ± 2

FIRM SUPPORT

ACS45

For larger, supported molds with limited undercuts that need firmer shape retention.

Shore A 45 ± 2

FAST turnaround

ACS-F25

For time-sensitive molds when a short working window is acceptable.

Shore A 25 ± 2

ACS SERIES OVERVIEW

Compare the Four Translucent Series

Start with the property your mold needs most. The grade details below provide the current typical values for each series.

Grade Details by Series

Choose a series, then open its grade table for hardness, mixed viscosity and typical processing times at 25 °C. All grades below use A:B 1:1 by weight. On a phone, swipe the table horizontally.

SeriesAvailable gradesShore AMix ratio by weightBest starting direction
ACS-SoftACS00, ACS05, ACS10, ACS150–151:1Deep undercuts, delicate castings and very flexible mold liners.
ACS GeneralACS20, ACS25, ACS30, ACS35, ACS4020–401:1General-purpose, repeat-use molds; start near ACS25 when no extreme softness or support is required.
ACS-HardACS45, ACS50, ACS55, ACS6045–601:1Larger supported molds and simpler geometry where shape retention matters more than easy peel release.
ACS-F Fast CureACS-F20, ACS-F25, ACS-F3020–301:1Short production cycles when roughly 5 minutes of working time is sufficient.

Very soft to soft grades for flexible molds, deep undercuts and delicate release.

BEST-FIT APPLICATIONS

Where Translucent ACS Makes Sense

Choose by the demands of the mold, not by translucency alone.

Select a soft or balanced grade for detailed pieces; move firmer when a larger mold needs more support.

Translucent Platinum Silicone FAQs

Choose ACS-F when shorter production cycles matter and its approximately 5-minute working time gives you enough time to mix and pour. Confirm the processing and demold times in the current grade-specific TDS

No. Hardness is one factor; also compare mold geometry, tear and release needs, working time and casting material.

No such family-wide claim should be assumed. Ask for current grade-specific documentation relevant to your market and intended use.

Sulfur-containing clays, amines, tin compounds, some latex materials, resins and contaminated tools may inhibit cure. Use clean, separate equipment and test the actual master before production.

CREKEM’s pourable ACS grades can be thickened with a compatible thixotropic additive for brush-on or vertical applications. Contact CREKEM for the recommended additive and dosage, and run a small trial before production.
