TCS Hard Series for Firm, Stable Mold Support
Five high-hardness, pourable tin-cure silicone grades for molds that prioritize rigidity, shape retention and support under pressure.
5 Grades
High-Support Range
Shore A 45–70
Firm to Very Hard
100:3
Mix Ratio by Weight
30–40 min
Typical Working Time
Built for the Right Mold Geometry
Embossing, texture molds, flat panels, supported tooling and parts with limited undercuts where dimensional support matters most.
Strong Shape Retention
Higher hardness helps the mold maintain geometry during casting and handling.
Stable Support
Suitable for flat, structural and pressure-sensitive molding applications.
Five Firmness Levels
Choose the support level required without moving outside the TCS Hard family.
How to Choose a Starting Grade
Select by mold geometry and support requirement first. Validate performance with a sample before full production.
| Grade Range | Recommended Starting Direction |
|---|---|
| TCS45–TCS50 | Firm support with some flexibility for simpler demolding and moderate mold geometry. |
| TCS55–TCS60 | Higher stability for panels, textures, embossing and supported production tools. |
| TCS70 | Maximum hardness in the range for very firm tooling with minimal flex requirement. |
TCS Hard Series Grade Comparison
Compare the available grades, then confirm the final selection against the current TDS and your production trial.
| Grade | Hardness (Shore A) | Mixed Viscosity (mPa·s) | Mix Ratio A:B | Working Time | Demold Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TCS45 | 45 ± 2 | 20,000 ± 2,000 | 100:3 | 30–40 min | 3–8 h |
| TCS50 | 50 ± 2 | 22,000 ± 2,000 | 100:3 | 30–40 min | 3–8 h |
| TCS55 | 55 ± 2 | 24,000 ± 2,000 | 100:3 | 30–40 min | 3–8 h |
| TCS60 | 60 ± 2 | 26,000 ± 2,000 | 100:3 | 30–40 min | 3–8 h |
| TCS70 | 70 ± 2 | 28,000 ± 2,000 | 100:3 | 30–40 min | 3–8 h |
Typical values are for reference and are not specification limits. Results may vary with catalyst ratio, temperature, humidity, batch and test method.
Simple Processing Workflow
- Prepare: Clean and secure the master; apply a compatible release agent when required.
- Weigh: Measure base and catalyst by weight according to the current TDS.
- Mix: Blend thoroughly, scraping the sides and bottom of the container.
- Apply: Pour or brush according to the selected series and mold design.
- Cure: Leave undisturbed under the recommended conditions, then demold carefully.

TCS Hard Series FAQs
Choose TCS Hard when shape retention and support are more important than easy peel release. TCS General is usually better for complex undercuts and flexible demolding.
High-hardness silicone is less flexible, so it is generally better for limited undercuts, open-face molds, panels and supported tooling. Review the geometry before selection.
The current range data lists 100:3 by weight. Always verify the ratio on the current TDS supplied with the selected grade.
