CUSTOM RTV-2 SILICONE · CREKEM

Custom RTV-2 Silicone Formulations

Work with CREKEM to develop a two-part, room-temperature-curing liquid silicone for your process. Discuss the viscosity, Shore hardness, color, working time and cure time you need.

Start with a tin-cure or platinum-cure system. Final properties are confirmed through formulation review and sample testing.

START WITH YOUR BRIEF

What should your liquid silicone do?

Application
Pour-on or brush-on mold making, casting or another RTV-2 process.

Target behavior
Flow, flexibility, detail reproduction, release or production speed.

Processing conditions
Master material, casting material, temperature, equipment and batch size.

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

Tune the Properties That Matter

CREKEM develops custom two-part liquid silicone formulations for your process. Tell us which properties you need to adjust—such as viscosity, hardness, color or cure time—and we’ll review a practical starting formulation for testing.

Custom RTV-2 Silicone
01 / FEEL

Hardness & Flexibility

Adjust the target hardness and elastic response to suit demolding difficulty and mold support.

02 / FLOW

Viscosity & Application

Target the flow needed for fine details, larger pours, brush-on work or vertical surfaces.

03 / TIME

Working & Demold Time

Match the available mixing, pouring and production window to the size and complexity of your job.

04 / LOOK

Color & Appearance

Discuss color matching, pigmentation or the level of translucency and transparency needed for the application.

05 / PERFORMANCE

Strength & Release

Review tear resistance, elongation, detail reproduction and demolding needs as a balanced performance target.

06 / PROCESS

Formulation Details

Share any required mix ratio, curing conditions, packaging or other production constraints for feasibility review.

CHOOSE A STARTING SYSTEM

A Base Chemistry Comes First

Customization works best when the cure system already fits the application. We can help you select a practical starting formulation before tuning individual properties.

Silicone for Plaster Mold Making
SELECTION GUIDE

Tin Cure Silicone

A starting route for general mold making and many cost-sensitive production jobs. Review the mold geometry, casting material and required working time.

PLATINUM-CURE OPTION

Platinum Cure Silicone

A starting route for precision molds where dimensional stability, repeat-use performance or selected specialty requirements matter. Cure inhibition and material compatibility must be checked.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Document the Intended Use

Food-contact or direct skin-contact uses need a grade-specific review and current documentation for the intended market. Do not assume that every custom silicone formulation is suitable for those uses.

FROM BRIEF TO TRIAL

A Clear Path to a Custom Grade

Tell us what your process needs. We’ll review a formulation direction, provide a sample for testing and confirm the grade before repeat supply.

01 / Share Your Requirements

Send your application, current material and target properties.

02 / Review the Formulation

We review the cure system and feasible adjustments, then recommend a formulation for sampling.

03 / Test a Sample

Test the proposed silicone with your actual master pattern, casting material and process.

04 / Confirm the Grade

Agree on the final properties and documentation before repeat supply.

YOUR PROJECT BRIEF

Tell Us What You Need to Change

A short brief is enough to start. You do not need to know the final formulation.

Helpful details to include

  • Application and intended end use
  • Current RTV-2 silicone grade, TDS or material sample, if available
  • Target hardness, viscosity, color and working time
  • Master and casting materials; mold dimensions and application method
  • Trial quantity, expected order volume and destination market
COMMON QUESTIONS

Custom RTV-2 Silicone FAQs

CREKEM develops and supplies two-part RTV-2 liquid silicone rubber formulations. This page is for adjusting the material properties used in your process, not for ordering finished molded silicone parts.

Yes. Share your target values or a reference sample. CREKEM can review a suitable formulation and confirm the achievable range through testing.

Not always. Adjusting one property can affect flow, strength, cure time or release behavior. We review the complete application and agree on practical trade-offs before confirming a grade.

Send the current TDS and, if possible, a material sample. CREKEM can evaluate a comparable formulation direction; performance should be checked in your own process before approval.

Only after the intended use, destination market and grade-specific documentation have been reviewed. Do not assume suitability from the cure system or appearance alone.

Tell us the application, current problem, target properties, materials in contact with the silicone and expected processing conditions. A sample or existing TDS is helpful but not required for an initial discussion.
