How to use Moldable Silicone Putty to Make a Key Mold :
Step 1: Mix the silicone putty
Start by taking equal amounts from both tubs – the silicone putty part A and silicone putty B. Mix them thoroughly. You only have a few minutes, usually 40-60 seconds, so work quickly but efficiently. Once the colours are fully combined, shape the mixture into a flat, round shape that’s slightly larger than the object you want to mould, like a key.
Step 2: Stamp the key
Press the key firmly into the flattened clay, making sure that all the edges are fully immersed in the silicone. This will capture the full shape and detail of the key. You can repeat this process for as many items as you need. Allow the mould to set for about 20 minutes.
When cured, remove the key and wash the mould in warm soapy water. Leave to dry completely before use.
Once your mold is dry, it’s ready for food-safe applications. You can pour melted chocolate, candy mixtures, or other edible ingredients into the mold to create unique, custom treats. The food-safe silicone putty is durable, so you can reuse the mold multiple times for various culinary projects.
